Don’t keep things bottled up I don’t like to let people see me upset, so I do my best to cover it up, not always successfully, but that’s ok. It’s important not to bottle up your emotions, whether it’s sadness, anger, guilt or anxiety, you should let them out. You can only bottle up those emotions for so long before they pop the cork and overflow. When you hold onto them you feel anxious, angry or stressed all the time. This can, in some instances, then lead to other issues such as drinking or substance abuse or perhaps lashing out at your loved ones. These are unhealthy coping mechanisms. It can also have an affect on your eating habits, cause headaches or digestive problems. Find ways to let those feelings go. It could be as simple as talking to the person involved, or journaling or maybe you can talk to someone like me. Don’t let your emotions overflow. Marina

Make the decision, commit to it and go. When you get up in the morning make the decision on how you WANT to feel, not how you don’t want to feel. If you feel yourself slipping into old thought patterns throughout the day, just remind yourself of how you chose to feel this morning. Then lather, rinse, repeat every morning.
